Care changes as your cat grows.

Age ranges are guides. Health, behaviour and individual needs matter more than a label.

Birth to 6 months

Kitten

Safe social learning, growth nutrition, vaccination planning, play skills and gentle handling.

7 months to 2 years

Junior

Healthy routines, weight prevention, dental care, enrichment and behaviour observation.

3–6 years

Adult

Maintain healthy routines and keep watching for changes in weight, teeth, activity and behaviour.

Around 7–10 years

Mature adult

Closer attention to weight, movement, teeth, appetite and subtle changes in routine.

Around 11–14 years

Senior

Comfort, easier access to resources and veterinary checks suited to individual health.

15 years and older

Super senior

Quality of life, pain awareness, hydration, mobility support and prompt response to change.

Useful at every age

Track appetite, drinking, weight, movement, toileting, grooming and behaviour. A change from your cat’s normal pattern is often more useful than comparison with another cat.
