CatLives is published by CatLives Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 15809676) and based in Sheffield. It was founded by Idris Olaide, an experienced marketing professional and cat enthusiast.
Who writes and checks our content
Guides are written and edited by Idris Olaide using breed registries, veterinary organisations and welfare charities. Idris is not a vet. A page is described as professionally reviewed only when a named, qualified reviewer has checked it; otherwise it says that no clinical review has taken place.
What we stand for
- Useful before impressive. Every guide and tool should help someone make a better decision.
- Honest about what we know. We state uncertainty and leave out claims we cannot support.
- Welfare first. Known health concerns are stated plainly.
- No false certainty. General education cannot diagnose an individual cat.
How we research
Health and breed content starts with breed registries, veterinary organisations, welfare charities and published research. Sources are listed where available. Read our editorial policy.
Products and funding
Buying guides use published criteria and manufacturer information unless hands-on testing is expressly stated. CatLives may be funded by clearly separated display advertising and labelled affiliate links. Commercial partners do not decide what we write.
